Thanksgiving was filled with yummy food and friends. I am thankful to have friends out here. I am thankful to have great students. I am thankful to have shelter and food! My dad sent me a smoked turkey and two of my teacher friends, Nancy and Mary, and I had our own little Thanksgiving celebration.
It’s been busy and tiring. I haven’t had time to type up a new post between school, planning, sleeping, and relaxing. I find that out here you need a lot of down time. When you leave school you want to stay at home and hibernate. Hibernate away from the cold, the people, and the kids. If you go outside…there will be kids swarming. That’s life in the bush.
My students are working hard and making lots of progress! I’ve already had some of my first grader’s catch up and pass their Kindergarten Levels! Woot!
We have our Christmas show next Thursday evening. We will be singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. My students and I practice every morning after we do our math meeting and morning message.
There are only 7 days until Christmas break begins and only 9 days till I’m home for Christmas! I miss my family, friends, and Nathan more than words can describe! Can't wait to see you all!
